: John Cale is rejected for his dream job in the Secret Service but takes his daughter on a White House tour to break the news gently—only for the building to be seized by terrorists.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by James Vanderbilt, the film follows John Cale (Channing Tatum), a U.S. Capitol Police officer who wins a tour of the White House. During the tour, a group of heavily armed mercenaries, led by Emil Stenz (Jason Clarke), take control of the building. The mercenaries are revealed to be a rogue military unit that has been contracted for a covert operation. Cale teams up with the President of the United States (Jake Gyllenhaal) to stop the mercenaries and save the White House.
