The Faculty Link

The film literalizes this metaphor. When an alien parasite begins infecting the student body and faculty of Herrington High, the social hierarchy collapses. The jocks, the geeks, the goths, and the burnouts are forced into an uneasy alliance. It takes the "Breakfast Club" archetype—the brain (Casey), the athlete (Stan), the basket case (Stokely), the princess (Delilah), and the criminal (Zeke)—and forces them to fight for their humanity.

Beneath its horror surface, "The Faculty" explores a number of themes that are still relevant today. The film is a commentary on the dangers of conformity and the pressure to fit in, as the alien threat seeks to eliminate individuality and replace it with a homogenous, robotic sameness. the faculty
