The twist (spoiler alert) is that Ben is riddled with guilt for causing a car accident that killed seven people, including his fianc챕e. He decides to donate parts of his own body (lungs, liver, kidney, bone marrow, and ultimately his heart and eyes) to save seven strangers. The film ends with Ben committing suicide via a box jellyfish sting so that his heart can go to the love interest, Emily (Rosario Dawson).
