: Asoka is called back to Magadha. While he is away, he is falsely told that Kaurwaki and Arya have been killed. Devastated and consumed by rage, he marries Devi, a Buddhist woman who saved his life, and begins a brutal campaign to eliminate his brothers and expand his empire.
