The story continues the life of the eccentric inventor (played by Rick Moranis). After the disastrous incident where he accidentally shrunk his kids, he has now moved to Nevada with his wife, Diane, to work at a high-tech science lab called "Sterling Labs." His teenage son, Nick, and his young son, Adam—now a toddler—are along for the ride.
